I'm a fourth year medical student in Texas.
I did my undergrad work in USC's School of Cinematic Arts. I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in
Writing for Screen & Television. I loved it, but a future of waiting tables and taking meetings with B-List producers was not for me.
This blog is ostensibly to discuss healthcare policy and maybe educate a few of my fellow medical students. But it will stray into current events, politics, and other science topics when they draw my interest
Other odd notes about me:
- I've skied half the resorts on this list (Squaw Valley/Lake Tahoe, Snowbird/Park City, Whistler, Taos, Vail)
- I "played" lacrosse in high school and through a club level team in college
- My favorite (if not the best) films: The Godfather, Dr. Strangelove, Peking Opera Blues, Monty Python and The Holy Grail, Hackers, Anchorman, Ikiru, Gladiator, Collateral, Slap Shot, Aliens
- I'm a pretty good cook
- The part of my brain allowing me to assimilate new languages is atrophic or broken or something
- "Therefor I Travel." I've currently been to (if for too short a time): Mexico, Australia, Britain, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, Canada, Czech Republic, Ireland
- I'm a big sports fan, especially college football and NBA basketball. My teams: USC Trojans, San Antonio Spurs, Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros, Duke Blue Devils (Lacrosse), West Ham United
Hi i want to say sorry becos I think I sounded rude in my last post. Your blog is great and I read your posts in medscape they’re great too. Though I still hold the view that you have a lot of misunderstandings about china. I visited both mainland China and mainland US. China is still a developing country there are lots of problems. But it’s not a nation where all people or leader are that ignorant to think that they are/will be leading the world. Maybe you can be less “high EE” about china. But I just apologize again! I was so rude I need some CBT!!! Gd luck bro u’ll make a great doctor!
